January 3, 2022 Opinion or Order Filing 9 PAPERLESS ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE. THIS MATTER is before the Court sua sponte upon a review of the record. Plaintiff filed his Complaint on July 9, 2021, attaching a letter from the Social Security Appeals Office instructing Plaintiff that in order to appeal the administrative decision in this Court, Plaintiff was to serve his Complaint on the Social Security Administration's Office of the General Counsel, the Attorney General of the United States, and the applicable United States Attorney's Office. (DE 1-1 at 2.) In light of this requirement, Plaintiff filed proposed summonses directed to the Social Security Administration's Office of the General Counsel, the Attorney General of the United States, and the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. (DE #4 .) Seeing no service returned in the time permitted by Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 4, on December 15, 2021, the Court directed Plaintiff to file proof of service no later than December 30, 2021. On December 30, Plaintiff filed one certificate of service only on the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. (DE #6 .) Accordingly, it is ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that on or before January 7, 2022, Plaintiff shall SHOW CAUSE why this case should not be dismissed for failure to properly effect service in the time permitted by the Federal Rules or the additional time allotted by the Court.
