PAPERLESS ORDER SETTING HEARING. Plaintiffs filed a #7 Motion to Compel Defendant's Production of Plaintiff's Recorded Statement. The Court's #3 Order of Referral requires the parties to adhere to my Discovery Procedures which are found on the Court's website. The Discovery Procedures specify the process for placing a discovery dispute on my weekly discovery calendar, and expressly state that "[t]he parties shall not file discovery motions unless the Court so orders." Plaintiffs did not comply with these Discovery Procedures and the Court did not authorize Plaintiffs to file the Motion. Rather than strike the Motion from the docket, the Court will hold a telephonic hearing on the Motion on August 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. The Court will hear Defendant's position at that time. Going forward the Court will not excuse a party's failure to comply with court orders.
