PAPERLESS ORDER. THIS MATTER is before the Court on the Parties' Joint Motion #30 for Extension of Time. The Motion for Extension requests an enlargement of time for Defendants to file a response/answer to the Complaint. This is the second such motion for extension filed. The Motion requests the extension because "the Parties have been negotiating a settlement and are in the last stages of finalizing documents relating to their settlement." The Motion also acknowledges the Court's prior order granting a motion for extension, and stating that "no further extensions will be granted." Nevertheless, upon review of the Motion and the record, and in the interests of the "just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every action and proceeding" pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 1, it is ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that the Motion for Extension #30 is GRANTED IN PART AND DENIED IN PART. PAPERLESS ORDER. THIS MATTER is before the Court on Defendants' Motion for Extension of Time #6 to file a response/answer to Plaintiffs' Complaint. Plaintiffs filed a Response in Opposition #11 to the Motion. The Motion states the extension is needed because defense counsel "was only recently formally retained," scheduling conflicts, the complexity of the instant matter, and ongoing settlement discussions. The Motion requests a thirty- (30-) day extension of time. In Response, Plaintiffs asserts that Defendants are attempting to "gain time 'for undue delay.'" Upon review of the Motion, the Response, and the record, and finding good cause exists for the extension of time, it is ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that Defendants' Motion #6 is GRANTED.
