PAPERLESS ORDER. THIS MATTER is before the Court on #7 Defendant Colony Insurance Company's Motion for Extension of Time to Respond to #1 Plaintiff's Complaint. On January 23, 2023, the Court entered #5 the Order of Referral and Notice of Court Practice in Removal Cases, directing the Parties to comply with the Court's Practices and Procedures, which state in relevant part:Absent an emergency, requests for extensions of time must be presented to the Court, by motion, no later than 48 hours prior to the deadline from which the Parties are seeking relief. Sanctions may be imposed for non-emergent requests made less than 48 hours prior to the deadline.Defendant Colony Insurance Company did not file the instant Motion until the date of the deadline. Accordingly, it is ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that #7 Defendant Colony Insurance Company's Motion for Extension is GRANTED IN PART AND DENIED IN PART. On or before February 7, 2023, Defendant Colony Insurance Company shall file a response to #1 Plaintiff's Complaint. Moving forward, it is imperative that the Parties fully comply with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, the Local Rules for the Southern District of Florida, the Court's Practices and Procedures, and all Court orders.
