PAPERLESS ORDER directing the parties to show cause why the Court should not enter sanctions for their failure to submit their joint scheduling report. The joint interim status report was due on May 24, 2023. (Sched. Order, ECF No. 18.) The parties previously failed to timely submit the joint scheduling report, and the parties have now twice failed to comply with the Court's prior pretrial orders. (ECF Nos. 4, 18.) Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 16(f) provides that the court may impose sanctions, up to and including a dismissal of this action or the striking of a party's pleadings and the entry of default, for failure to adhere to a pretrial order. Fed. R. Civ. P. 16(f); see also Powell v. Siegal, 447 F. App'x 92, 94 (11th Cir. 2011) ("Rule 16(f) authorizes a court to impose sanctions, including dismissal under Rule 37(b)(2)(A)(v), if a party fails to obey a pretrial order."). Accordingly, the Court orders the Plaintiff to show cause why the Court should not dismiss this matter, and the Defendant C-T-H Group Corp. to show cause why the Court should not strike its pleadings and enter default judgment against it, for their failure to abide by the Court's pretrial orders.
