PAPERLESS ORDER granting #16 Plaintiff's Motion to Continue Hearing on Motion for Preliminary Injunction and Extend Temporary Restraining Order for Fourteen Days, ("Motion"). Plaintiff requests that 1) the period to effectuate service be extended by two weeks; and 2) the TRO be extended to remain in effect during that period. See [ECF No. 16]. Plaintiff makes this request because it has not been able to serve all Defendants yet. See id. at 5. Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 65(b)(2) states that Temporary Restraining Orders are "not to exceed 14 days... unless before that time the court, for good cause, extends it for a like period or the adverse party consents to a longer extension." Additionally, "[t]he reasons for an extension must be entered in the record." Fed. R. Civ. P. 65(b)(2).Accordingly, the Motion is GRANTED and the Temporary Restraining Order is extended by a period of fourteen (14) days to facilitate service of process for the Defendants and to give Plaintiff the requisite time to provide notice to Defendants. Additionally, the telephonic hearing is reset to January 23, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., at which time Defendants and/or any other affected persons may challenge the appropriateness of this Order and move to dissolve the same and at which time the Court will hear argument on Plaintiff's requested preliminary injunction. The parties are instructed to call 833 568 8864 (US Toll-free) by no later than 12:55 P.M. on January 23, 2025. The meeting ID is 160 623 6605 and the passcode is 304850.
