PAPERLESS ORDER. THIS MATTER is before the Court on Defendant Principal Life Insurance Company's Unopposed Motion for Extension of Time to Respond to the Complaint ("Motion") [ECF No. #8 ]. In the Motion, Defendant "requests an additional twenty-one (21) days to respond to the Complaint, up to and including August 26, 2025." Mot. at 1. As the Motion was filed on the eve of Defendant's deadline to respond to the Complaint, the Motion fails to comply with the Court's Practices and Procedures, which state, "[a]bsent an emergency, requests for extensions of time must be presented to the Court, by motion, no later than 48 hours prior to the deadline from which the Parties are seeking relief. Sanctions may be imposed for non-emergent requests made less than 48 hours prior to the deadline." Nevertheless, it is ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that Defendant's Motion is GRANTED.
