PAPERLESS ORDER. THIS MATTER is before the Court on Defendant The Corcoran Group LLC's Renewed and Unopposed Motion for Extension of Time to Respond to Complaint ("Motion") (DE #35 ). In the Motion, Defendant requests an extension until November 3, 2025 to respond to Plaintiff's Complaint. Defendant was instructed to demonstrate "excusable neglect." (DE 32). Defendant's Motion includes vague statements that Defendant "was under the impression that its interests were being represented in this matter" and "[i]mmediately upon discovering that this was not the case, Defendant expeditiously retained the undersigned counsel." No details are given as to when this occurred. Defendant was served with the Complaint on September 10, 2025 and missed its deadline to respond. For some reason, Defendant's counsel downplays this fact--explaining that their prior Motion for Extension of Time was "filed merely one (1) day after Defendant's response was due." Yet the vague statements in the Motion provide this Court with no real basis to determine whether this was in fact excusable neglect. Notwithstanding the deficiencies in the Motion, because the Motion is unopposed, it is ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that the Motion is GRANTED. Pursuant to this Court's Order of Referral (DE #9 ), Defendant The Corcoran Group shall coordinate with the other defendants to file a consolidated response on or before November 3, 2025. The Court expects strict adherence to its deadlines moving forward. It appears that Defendant inadvertently filed a duplicative motion for extension of time (DE #36 ). That motion is DENIED AS MOOT.
