PAPERLESS ORDER. The Plaintiff has filed a Complaint [ECF No. 1] under 42 U.S.C. 1983. That Complaint lacks any certification attesting to the truth of its content under penalty of perjury. But our Local Rules mandate that [c]ivil rights complaints pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 1983 . . . must be signed under penalty of perjury[.] L. R. 88.2(a). We thus STRIKE the Complaint and give the Plaintiff 45 days to refile an amended complaint that adheres to that requirement. In the meantime, well DENY without prejudice the Motion for Leave to Proceed In Forma Pauperis (the Motion) [ECF No. 3]. The Plaintiff can refile the Motion once he files an amended complaint.
