Filing 31
PAPERLESS ORDER striking #29 #30 Notices of Scheduling Mediation. On October 14, 2025, the Court entered an Order scheduling mediation for February 17, 2026, at a designated date, time, and location #28 . The Mediation Order prohibits any changes "absent a properly filed motion for such relief and Court approval" #28 . Nevertheless, the Notices (both of which appear to have been filed by the mediator) purports to change the date and time of mediation without Court approval. Accordingly, the Notices #29 #30 are stricken. The Court's Order Scheduling Mediation #28 remains in effect. Should the parties have a basis to move for an amendment of that Order, the parties must file a procedurally proper motion requesting such relief, following conferral. Any such request must specify the proposed date of mediation along with the name of the mediator, the physical address for in-person mediation, and the time of mediation. Signed by Judge Aileen M. Cannon on 12/9/2025. (jj02)

| Filing 10 PAPERLESS ORDER: This matter is referred to me to conduct a settlement conference #5 . I previously ordered the parties to confer and file a joint motion with proposed settlement conference dates within a specified period. See DE 6. Rather than file a motion as required, the parties instead filed a Joint Notice of Availability for Settlement Conference #9 , which provides dates only through August 20, 2025. Given the non-compliant nature of the notice and to ensure sufficient time for scheduling, by this FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 2025, at 12:00 Noon, the parties shall file a Joint Motion for Settlement Conference listing proposed settlement conference dates through and including FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2025. I remind the parties that my general preference is to hold settlement conferences on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I do not have regularly scheduled criminal duty court, and a representative with full settlement authority for each party must be available to participate in the conference. Filing 4
NOTICE OF COURT PRACTICES ON SEALING/REDACTION: Notwithstanding the requirements of Local Rule 5.4 and/or any protective order, the parties are prohibited from filing anything under seal or from redacting any content from a court filing or exhibit/attachment (except for the personal data identifiers listed in Section 6A of this District's CM/ECF Administrative Procedures) unless the party with a stated interest in sealing/redaction first seeks and obtains permission from the Court via a motion for leave. The motion for leave must be filed after meaningful conferral with the opposing party (or parties) and be filed publicly except as authorized by prior Court order. Additionally, the motion for leave shall specify the particularized basis for sealing the proposed material; shall describe the information/documents to be sealed with as much specificity as possible but without attaching the proposed sealed material; shall indicate the proposed duration of the seal request and the reasons why means other than sealing are unavailable or unsatisfactory; shall contain a separate certificate of conference section indicating the results of the parties' meaningful conferral; and shall be filed at last three business days before any related deadline to permit adequate Court consideration. The party seeking authorization to seal material shall not file or otherwise attach the subject material until the Court has ruled on the motion for leave. Finally, all parties are advised that mere designation of material as confidential and/or otherwise subject to a protective order does not bind the Court, does not supplant the requirements of the Local Rules on sealing, and does not otherwise relieve the party seeking sealing/redaction from justifying its request under applicable legal principals governing the presumption of public access to civil proceedings. Failure to comply with this Notice may result in immediate unsealing of any unauthorized shielded material. Signed by Judge Aileen M. Cannon on 7/23/2025. (bbk)
