Filing 15 PAPERLESS ORDER granting in part #13 Plaintiff's Motion for Extension of Time. The deadline for joinder of additional parties and amended pleadings is January 25, 2021. (DE #7 at 5). Plaintiff seeks a 45-day extension, citing that Defendant has until February 5, 2021, to respond to the Complaint and has not yet appeared in this action. (DE #13 at 3). As a result, Plaintiff asserts that it "has not been given the opportunity to evaluate any answer, or pre-answer motion that may be filed by the defendant,... and determine whether joining additional parties or amending the Complaint is necessary[] or appropriate... [.]" (Id.). I find good cause to grant the motion in part. Accordingly, the deadline for joinder of additional parties and amended pleadings is extended to February 19, 2021. No other litigation deadlines are modified or amended as a result of this Order, and I will not grant further extensions of this deadline absent a showing of diligence and good cause supported by specific facts. Amended Pleadings due by 2/23/2021. Signed by Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks on 1/27/2021. (kal) |
