Filing 18 PAPERLESS ORDER DENYING WITHOUT PREJUDICE [ECF No. 16] Plaintiffs' Motion for Extension of Time to Respond to Defendant's Motion to Dismiss the Amended Complaint. Pursuant to Local Rule 7.2, if a party opposes a briefed motion pending on removal, the opposing party must file and serve an opposing memorandum "within (14) days after the filing of the notice of removal or the entry of the order of transfer." Defendant filed its Motion to Dismiss in State Court on November 20, 2020 [ECF No. 1-9]. Defendant then filed its Notice of Removal in this Court with the attached Motion to Dismiss on December 9, 2020 [ECF No. 1]. Accordingly, under Local Rule 7.2, Plaintiffs' Response to Defendant's Motion to Dismiss was due no later than December 23, 2020. On January 7, 2021, Plaintiffs filed an untimely Motion for Extension of Time to Respond to Defendant's Motion to Dismiss, but they made no showing of excusable neglect as required under Rule 6(b)(1)(B) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Accordingly, Plaintiffs' Motion for Extension is DENIED WITHOUT PREJUDICE.
