PAPERLESS ORDER granting in part #6 Defendant United Glass Systems Corp.'s unopposed Motion for Extension of Time. On the date after its Answer was due to be filed, Defendants moved for a two week extension of time. In support, Defendant represents that (1) it is "in the process of compiling the information necessary to respond," and (2) the Parties are in settlement negotiations. Motions to extend litigation deadlines must set forth good cause supported by specific facts. Defendant's generalized assertion regarding its preparation falls short of this standard. However in the interest of encouraging an early and amicable resolution of this case, I will grant the motion in part. Accordingly, Defendant must respond to the Complaint on or by September 15, 2022. The Parties can, of course, continue to engage in settlement negotiations while this case moves forward in litigation.
