PAPERLESS ORDER granting in part #6 Defendant's Unopposed Motion for Extension of Time. Defendant seeks an extension of time to respond to Plaintiff's Complaint, until December 20, 2023. In support, Defendant cites "the press of other deadlines." Motions for extension of time must set forth good cause supported by specific facts. Vague references to counsel's workload fall short of the good cause standard and therefore I do not find that the length of the requested extension has been sufficiently explained or justified. Moreover, I note that Defendant was served on October 30, therefore its Answer was due by November 20. (DE #4 ). I further note that counsel entered an appearance on December 6, well after this deadline expired. (DE #5 ). Parties must move for extensions of time in advance of the deadline sought to be extended, but in this instance I'll excuse it. Because the Motion is unopposed and supported by some facts, I will grant the requested relief in part. Defendant shall respond to the Complaint on or by December 15, 2023. Signed by Judge Donald M.
