PAPERLESS ORDER granting #7 Unopposed Motion for Extension of Time. Defendant moves for an extension of time to respond to the Plaintiff's Complaint, from February 14, 2024, to March 5, 2024. Motions for extension of time must set forth good cause supported by specific facts. Defendant cites that the Parties are discussing settlement. In the interest of encouraging an early and amicable resolution of this case, I will grant the motion. However, I caution the Parties that the failure to negotiate a settlement by March 5 will not constitute good cause for further extension of the Answer deadline. Accordingly, Defendant's response to the Plaintiff's Complaint is due by March 5, 2024. I also note that the Defendant filed this Motion on the day its response was due.
