PAPERLESS ORDER granting in part #8 Unopposed Motion for Extension of Time. Defendant requests a 20-day extension of time to respond to Plaintiff's Complaint, from July 15, 2024, to August 5, 2024. In support of the requested relief, Defendant cites that counsel was recently retained and has had insufficient time to confer with opposing counsel to discuss possible early resolution considering the intervening Fourth of July holiday and the voluminous volume of materials relevant to this matter. Motions for extensions of time must cite good cause supported by specific facts. This motion does not sufficiently explain the need for a 20-day extension. Nevertheless, because the Motion is unopposed, and in the interest of encouraging the early resolution of this case, I will grant the motion in part.
