PAPERLESS ORDER granting in part #21 Motion for Extension of Time. Plaintiff seeks to extend the deadline to file closing documents by 20 days. In support, Plaintiff states only that the Parties are still finalizing the terms of their agreement, and require additional time. Motions for Extension of Time must demonstrate good cause supported by specific facts. The Motion is not well-supported, nor is it apparent that adequate attempts at conferral were made prior to its filing. S.D. Fla. Local Rule 7.1(a)(2). Further, the Motion comes after I have already extended the closing deadline sua sponte, after the Parties failed to observe the original deadline of June 14, 2025. (DE #20 ). In the interest of efficiency, I will afford one more brief delay. If the Parties do not file closing documents on or by July 1, 2025, they will be expected to abide by the deadlines set forth in the ADA Scheduling Order to continue litigating this case. The motion was granted on April 24, 2025. (DE #9 ). Accordingly, if Plaintiff intends to move for default final judgment, she must do so on or before May 9, 2025. Moreover, Plaintiff is advised that pursuant to S.D. Fla. Local Rule 7.1(a)(2), motions for default judgment must be "accompanied by a proposed order that is filed and submitted via e-mail to the Court as prescribed by Section 3I(6) of the CM/ECF Administrative Procedures." The proposed order must contain legal analysis as to the claims on which Plaintiff is seeking default final judgment and how the pled facts, taken as true, justify awarding Plaintiff default judgment.
