PAPERLESS ORDER granting in part #6 Motion for Extension of Time. Defendant moves for a 21-day extension of time, from July 14, 2025 to August 4, 2025 to file its response to Plaintiff's Complaint (DE #1 ). In support, Defendant states that its counsel was only recently retained and needs additional time to investigate the allegations made in the Complaint which includes ten claims of discrimination and retaliation. Plaintiff does not oppose the Motion. Motions for extension of time must be supported by good cause and include specific facts. Here, the facts supporting the Motion are sparse, especially given the lengthy delay requested. Counsel does not clarify the date he was retained, nor does he explain what complexities of the case justify a three week long extension. I will grant the Motion in part. Defendant shall respond to the Complaint on or by July 25, 2025 Signed by Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks on 7/10/2025. (ime)
