Date Filed Document Text
February 1, 2019 Filing 4 EO: Appellee Dane Field's Motion to Consolidate Bankruptcy Appeals Civ. Nos. 18-00199 JMS-RLP and 19-00041 JAO-KJM, is DENIED without prejudice.Nonetheless, Civ. No. 19-00041 JAO-KJM is sufficiently related to Civ. No. 18-00199 JMS-RLP under Local Rule 40.2, and it is therefore RE-ASSIGNED from District Judge Jill A. Otake and Magistrate Judge Kenneth J. Mansfield to Chief District Judge J. Michael Seabright and Magistrate Judge Richard L. Puglisi. The civil number in Civ. No. 19-00041 JAO-KJM shall change to 19-00041 JMS-RLP, and all future filings in Civ. No. 19-00041 must reflect the new assigned Judges' initials (JMS-RLP).The court may re-visit the appropriateness of actual consolidation after the Bankruptcy Court issues a certificate of readiness in Civ. No. 19-00041 JMS-RLP, and after the court has a better understanding of the precise issues on appeal. Currently, it is far from clear that the two appeals must be heard together on a consolidated basis. (CHIEF JUDGE J. MICHAEL SEABRIGHT)(rlfh)
