Filing 11 EO: Plaintiff Janet Howell filed a "Motion/Action: To Reschedule/Adjust, Change to Late September the Rule 16 Due to Multiple Dependents and Some are Transferred to Another Unit and Some Didn't Accept the Summons and Complaint Need to Resend Documents and Request to Use Marshall to the Refused to Accept the Complaint, Motion/Action to Seal" on 7/31/19 ("Motion") (ECF No. 8). The Court will liberally construe Plaintiff's Motion as a motion to continue the Rule 16 Scheduling Conference set for 8/19/19 at 9:00 a.m. and a motion to seal. The Court CONTINUES the Rule 16 Scheduling Conference on 8/19/19 at 9:00 a.m. to 9/11/19 at 9:00 a.m. Plaintiff's motion to continue is moot. Scheduling Conference Statements are due 7 days before the Rule 16 Scheduling Conference. The Court DENIES Plaintiff's motion to seal. First, Plaintiff's motion is largely incomprehensible. Second, it is unclear what documents Plaintiff seeks to seal. Third, Plaintiff does not cite to any law in support of her request. Plaintiff is reminded that she has a duty to litigate her case and "to take all steps necessary to bring an action to readiness for pretrial and trial." Local Rule 16.1. Plaintiff is also required to "abide by all local, federal, and other applicable rules and/or statutes." Local Rule 83.13. Failure to meet this duty or to comply with the rules could result in sanctions or dismissal of this case. Filing 10 EO: On 8/9/19, the Court received multiple submissions from Plaintiff, comprised of a letter to the Court, copies of certified mail receipts, various memoranda, a print out titled "Current Orders on File" seemingly printed on 10/31/12, and articles printed from the internet on 1/22/14. The majority of the documents have handwritten messages that cannot be understood. Plaintiff is cautioned that the Court shall not serve as a repository for Plaintiff's documents. Plaintiff should refrain from filing documents unless the documents pertain to a motion, the Court so orders, or the filings comply with the rules. Plaintiff is required to "abide by all local, federal, and other applicable rules and/or statutes." Local Rule 83.13. Failure to meet this duty or to comply with the rules could result in sanctions or dismissal of this case.
