TEXT ORDER: The Plaintiff filed this action in the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court in Sangamon County, Illinois. The Defendant filed a Notice of Removal #1 in the Central District of Illinois, Peoria Division. 28 U.S.C. 1446(a) provides: "A defendant or defendants desiring to remove any civil action from a State court shall file in the district court of the United States for the district and division within which such action is pending...." (emphasis added). Because Sangamon County is located within the Springfield Division (see Civil Local Rule 40.1(B)), the Clerk is directed to TRANSFER this case to the Springfield Division of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
