TEXT ORDER: Plaintiff indicated in his #1 Complaint an address of residence located in Montgomery, Illinois, within Kendall County. He additionally states Defendant is a Wisconsin corporation transacting business within Montgomery, Illinois. Kendall County is within the Northern District of Illinois, not the Central District of Illinois. Generally, venue is proper in the judicial district in which any defendant resides, if all defendants are residents of the State in which the district is located, or in the judicial district in which a substantial part of the events or omissions giving rise to the claim occurred. 28 U.S.C. 1391(b). Plaintiff does state "a substantial part of the events, omissions, or conduct giving rise to Plaintiff['s] claim occurred in this judicial district," referring to the Central District of Illinois. Thus, Plaintiff is ordered to SHOW CAUSE in writing within 14 days of the date of this order why this case should not be transferred to the Northern District of Illinois.
