TEXT ORDER GRANTING Defendants' #37 Motion for Leave to File a Motion to Dismiss and Memorandum in Support in Excess of Page Limits. A memorandum that that exceeds 15 pages must either (1) contain no more than 7000 words or (2) use "monospaced type and does not contain more than 650 lines of text." CDIL-LR 7.1(B)(4)(b). Here, Defendants seek leave to file a twenty-eight page Motion to Dismiss and Memorandum containing over 10,000 words. Defendants assure the Court that they have made every reasonable effort to reduce their filing and that their present Motion is made in good faith. In its opposition, Plaintiff challenges the substance of the lengthy Motion to Dismiss and Memorandum, but not its length. The Court, thus, GRANTS Defendants' Motion for Leave to File a Motion in Excess of Page Limits. The Clerk is further DIRECTED to docket 37-1 as a Motion to Dismiss. TEXT ORDER: On September 30, 2025, this case was transferred from the Eastern District of Arkansas to this Court. The docket indicates that, the day before, Chief Judge Kristine G. Baker denied Defendants' motion to dismiss Plaintiffs' amended complaint, but granted Defendants' motion to transfer. (Doc. 34.) Under Fed. R. Civ. P. 12(a)(4)(A), Defendants' deadline to respond would have been fourteen days after the denial of their motion to dismiss, which was October 13, 2025. To date, Defendants have not answered or otherwise responded to Plaintiffs' amended complaint. The Court sua sponte extends the deadline for Defendants to respond to Plaintiffs' #23 amended complaint.
