TEXT ORDER: The parties' #8 Agreed Motion to Compel Arbitration and Stay Proceedings is GRANTED. The parties explain that the claims in this case are encompassed by an arbitration agreement that Plaintiff signed when she began her employment with Defendant. They have therefore agreed to stay this litigation in favor of arbitration. Accordingly, Plaintiff's claims are hereby referred to binding arbitration under the FAA. This matter is STAYED pending resolution of the parties' arbitration. See Volkswagen of Am., Inc. v. Suds of Peoria, Inc., 474 F.3d 966, 971 (7th Cir. 2007) ("For arbitrable issues, a 3 [of the Federal Arbitration Act] stay is mandatory."). The parties also stipulate to the following: "For purposes of any applicable statute of limitations or doctrine of laches, the date on which this action was commenced--May 22, 2026--shall control, provided that Plaintiff commences a demand for arbitration with the American Arbitration Association and asserts her claims in arbitration within sixty (60) days of the entry of this Order. Finally, the parties are ORDERED to submit a status report on or by December 18, 2026, or within two weeks of the arbitration's conclusion, whichever is earlier. Entered by Magistrate Judge Ronald L.
