TEXT ORDER entered by U.S. Magistrate Judge Karen L. McNaught on 3/15/2024: Rule 11.4(A)(2) of the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois provides in pertinent part, "[d]ocuments signed by an attorney must be filed using that attorney's log-in and password; they [documents] may not be filed using a log-in and password belonging to another attorney." Defendant's filings bear the electronic signature of attorney H. Allen Yow, but were filed by attorney Amy Jackson, who signed the certificate of service. In the future, defendant is to file documents using the log-in and password of the attorney of record. Under Rule 4 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, no certificate of service is needed when all of the parties are served using the electronic filing system. The clerk is to correct the docket to show that attorney H. Allen Yow is the attorney of record and strike the name of Amy Jackson, who has not entered an appearance.(TK) Modified on 3/15/2024 to correct typo (TK). |
