TEXT ORDER: Plaintiff's Application to Proceed Without Prepayment of Fees #3 is DENIED. "Courts have broad discretion in assessing the sufficiency of an applicant's evidence of poverty, especially when it comes to prisoners, who have fewer demands on their income because prisons provide them with food, clothing, shelter, and medical care." See Maboneza v. Kincaid, 798 F. App'x 19, 23 (7th Cir. 2020) (inmate with $1,500 in income in preceding six months was not destitute). Plaintiff reports only prison employment income of $12 to $15 per month on his sworn motion. But Plaintiff's trust fund ledger tells a different story. He has received a substantial amount of income over the past six months. The Court finds Plaintiff is able to pay the filing fee, upon consideration of the facts before the Court. See 28 U.S.C. Section 1915(a). Plaintiff is allowed 21 days to pay the $405.00 filing fee in full to the Clerk. If Plaintiff does not do so this case will be dismissed without prejudice.
