May 13, 2011 Filing 102 MINUTE entry before Honorable Blanche M. Manning: Before the court is the defendants' motion to reassign and consolidate [92-1] case no. 11 C 962 from Judge Guzman to this court. As noted by the plaintiffs in their response to the motion to reassign, the defendants have filed before Judge Guzman a motion to dismiss or stay that case based on, among other things, the first-to-file rule. The motion to dismiss or stay in 11 C 962 is currently being briefed. Having reviewed the complaints and the motions filed in each case, the court concludes that the most efficient course of action is to allow Judge Guzman to rule on the defendants' motion to dismiss or stay in 11 C 962 prior to this court's consideration of a motion to reassign and consolidate. Accordingly, the motion to reassign and consolidate [92-1] is denied without prejudice pending resolution of the motion to dismiss or stay in 11 C 962.Mailed notice (rth, )
