July 18, 2012 Filing 37 MINUTE entry before Honorable Young B. Kim: Plaintiff's motion for an extension of time to tender written discovery #35 is granted. The court grants the motion in large part because Plaintiff served his discovery requests within four business days of the scheduled deadline and moved for leave of court within two business days of discovering that he blew the deadline. Whether Plaintiff counsel's trial schedule amounts to good cause for the requested extension is questionable as he failed to note any specifics about his "trial last week" and how his trial prevented him from serving discovery in a timely manner. However, the court will not make a big deal out of it, this time. Plaintiff's counsel is reminded that one's trial schedule does not entitle him to ignore court orders and that Defendants' counsel was not at liberty to change this court's order "[a]s a matter of professional courtesy[.]" (R. 35-1.) Defendants have until August 17, 2012, to answer Plaintiff's discovery requests. Plaintiff is not required to appear on July 26, 2012, to present his motion. Mailed notice (ma,)
