Filing 9 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Sharon Johnson Coleman: Ordinarily, this Court would require the parties' appearance before considering a motion for extension of time to file the responsive pleading, as such motions are strongly disfavored under this Court's Mandatory Initial Discovery Pilot. Here, however, co-defendant John T. Dusek III's responsive pleading is not due until 11/6/2018, the same date that RSH Aviation, Inc. requests that its responsive pleading deadline be extended to. In light of these facts, the Court grants RSH Aviation, Inc.'s agreed motion for an extension of time #6 without requiring the parties' appearance. RSH Aviation, Inc.'s responsive pleadings are due by 11/6/2018. In light of this Court's Mandatory Initial Discovery Pilot, further extensions of RSH Aviation, Inc.'s responsive pleading deadline are unlikely to be permitted. A status hearing is set for 11/13/2018 at 9:00 AM. The parties are to file a joint status report in the format described on the court's website at least 3 business days prior to the status. The parties are directed to discuss settlement, and whether they consent to proceed before the Magistrate Judge. The Court encourages the parties to review this court's website for its standing orders prior to contacting chambers. The parties are reminded that responsive pleadings must comply with Section A(3) of this Court's Standing Order Regarding the Mandatory Initial Discovery Pilot Project. In the event that the defendants file a motion under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 12(b), the defendants are granted leave to notice that motion for presentment at the date and time of the status hearing. No appearance necessary on 10/25/2018. Mailed notice. (ym, ) |

In cases subject to the pilot, all parties must respond to the mandatory initial discovery requests set forth in the Standing Order before initiating any further discovery in this case. Please note: The discovery obligations in the Standing Order supersede the disclosures required by Rule 26(a)(1). Any party seeking affirmative relief must serve a copy of the following documents (Notice of Mandatory Initial Discovery and the Standing Order) on each new party when the Complaint, Counterclaim, Crossclaim, or Third-Party Complaint is served.
