Based on the Court's understanding regarding the anticipated length of time necessary for Stateville's trust fund officer to issue a check, the date for Plaintiff to prepay the full statutory filing fee of $400 is extended to January 4,2019. Plaintiff should send his payment to the Clerk, United States District Court,219South Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois 60604, attn: Cashier's Desk, 20th Floor, and clearly identify his name and the case number assigned to this case. If he does not comply, the Court will verify whether a check request was submitted and if not, will summarily dismiss this case. Filing 7 MOTION by Plaintiff Derrick Morgan for Extension of Time of Courts Order to Prepay Statutory Filing Fee (Envelope postmarked 11/16/18) (lf, ) |
Filing 6 ORDER: Plaintiff's certified trust fund statement shows that he had a balance of $954.45 when he initiated this action and received $3,000 in the twelve months prior to initiating this action. Court staff obtained updated trust fund information; as of November 7,2018, Plaintiff's trust fund account balance was $l,181.94. Given this income, Plaintiff's application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #3 is denied as he is not financially eligible to pay the filing fee in installments. If Plaintiff wants to proceed with this case, he must prepay the full statutory filing fee of $400 by sending a check or money order made payable to the Clerk, United States District Court. Plaintiff should send his payment to the Clerk, United States District Court, 219 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois 60604, attn: Cashier's Desk, 20th Floor, and clearly identify his name and the case number assigned to this case. If he does not comply by 12-11, 2018, the Court will summarily dismiss this case. Plaintiff's motion for attorney representation #4 is denied without prejudice as it is too early to consider if counsel would be appropriate. Plaintiff must promptly submit a change-of address notification if he is released or transferred to another facility. If he does not keep the Clerk apprised of his correct address, this case will be subject to dismissal. Signed by the Honorable Charles R. Norgle, Sr on 11/8/2018. Mailed notice (lf, ) |
