Filing 17 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Edmond E. Chang: Status hearing held. For diversity jurisdiction, Plaintiff's counsel confirmed that Plaintiff's citizenship (not just residency) is Illinois. The parties have already exchanged MID disclosures. Plaintiff shall file the Certificate of Service promptly. As discussed during the hearing, all agree that the coverage issue is the first priority (rather than coverage amount, which will require substantial medical records). As a first step, the Court approved the parties' agreement to try reaching a stipulation of facts underlying the coverage issue. By 09/17/2019, the defense shall provide to Plaintiff a proposed stipulation. Plaintiff shall respond with proposed edits, if any, by 09/26/2019. After that, edits back-and-forth shall be provided to each other within five business days, ***and the responses must be limited to the prior topics of proposed edits.*** With that schedule of collapsing responses, the disputes should either be eliminated or be known by the allotted time. If there is an agreement, then the Stipulation of Facts shall be filed on the docket by 11/19/2019. Status hearing set for 11/21/2019 at 9:30 a.m.Emailed notice (slb, ) |
