Filing 8 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Matthew F. Kennelly: Status hearing held on 10/7/2019. Mailed notice. (pjg, ) |
Filing 7 ORDER: Plaintiff has filed a lawsuit against an alderman and the City of Chicago, seeking damages. Plaintiff has asked to proceed in forma pauperis, that is, without paying the usual fee. For this reason, the Court has reviewed plaintiff's complaint under 28 U.S.C. 1915(e)(2) to determine if it is frivolous or fails to state a claim upon which relief may be granted. In this regard, the Court has some questions to ask plaintiff to attempt to better discern the nature of plaintiff's claim. For this reason, the case is set for a status hearing on October 7, 2019 at 9:30 AM in Judge Kennelly's courtroom (Room 2188). Plaintiff is directed to appear at that time. If he does not do so, the Court may dismiss the case. Signed by the Honorable Matthew F. Kennelly on 9/26/2019. Mailed notice(gcy, ) |
