January 7, 2020 Filing 5 MINUTE entry before the Honorable John Z. Lee: Plaintiff Genaro Sanchez has filed a complaint, the substance of which is identical to his complaint in case no. 18 C 6282. In both cases, the complaints allege that Defendants Nationstar Mortgage, LLC and the United States government, among others, failed to give consideration to form a binding contract, see 18 C 6282 Compl. at pp. 3, 5, ECF No. 11, and 19 C 8259 Compl. 7, 1314, ECF No. 1. The Court dismissed case no. 18 C 6282 with prejudice for want of prosecution and entered judgment on January 22, 2019. Plaintiff did not timely appeal. Accordingly, there has been a final judgment on the merits on the same cause of action between the same parties. This case is therefore dismissed with prejudice as barred by res judicata. See Vill. of Bartonville v. Lopez, 77 N.E.3d 639, 650 (Ill. 2017). Civil case terminated. Mailed notice (ca, )
