March 2, 2020 Filing 6 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Edmond E. Chang: In light of financial indigency, as reported on the financial affidavit, Defendant Wilson-Hawkins' motion to proceed in forma pauperis is granted. But it is not clear that the removal was properly effectuated. In order to determine whether removal was proper, the Court must review the state court complaint, as well as obtain information on whether the co-defendants consent to removal, 28 U.S.C. 1446(b)(2)(A), and the timing of service of the state court complaint, 28 U.S.C. 1446(b)(1). The state court case has a "15" case number, so it is possible that the removal is untimely. By 03/11/2020, Defendant Wilson-Hawkins shall file (1) a copy of the current state court complaint; (2) a Status Report on Removal that sets forth when she was served with the complaint and states whether the co-defendants consented to the removal before she filed the notice of removal; and (3) mail this notice and the notice of removal to any lawyers who were representing any of the other parties. A status hearing is set for 03/25/2020 at 9:00 a.m. Mailed notice (mw, )
