Pacold: Consistent with Second Amended General Order 20-0012, IN RE: CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 PUBLIC EMERGENCY (March 30, 2020), the 4/14/2020 motion hearing, status report filing date of 4/24/2020, and the 4/30/2020 status hearing are stricken. Consistent with the spirit of Second Amended General Order 20-0012 Paragraph 2, the court sets the following briefing schedule on Plaintiff's motion to remand and for attorneys' fees and costs #14 : Defendant's response is due on or before 6/23/2020, and Plaintiff's reply is due on or before 7/21/2020. In light of the public emergency, and consistent with the spirit of Second Amended General Order 20-0012, the parties shall request a modification of this schedule as needed. The court does not advise any party, attorney, staff, or anyone working on this case to leave home, go into the office, travel, conduct any in-person meetings, disregard social-distancing measures, or anything of the kind to comply with these deadlines. If the parties are able to file their briefs, consistent with all precautions during the public emergency (with everyone involved working from home, without going to the office, without traveling, without in-person meetings, while implementing social-distancing measures, etc.), and consistent with other priorities, obligations, and demands on everyone's time during the public emergency, the parties should do so. If these steps are not feasible or are not reasonable at the moment, the parties are directed to wait until the public emergency abates to file their briefs. The court will be reasonable and understanding with the timing, and trusts that the parties will as well. The court thanks the parties for their cooperation and patience. (rao, )
