August 18, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 6 ORDER: By order dated July 2, 2020 #3 , the Court directed Plaintiff to either submit a properly completed and certified application to proceed in forma pauperis or pay the full statutory filing fee of $400, and advised him that failure to comply by July 3, 2020, would result in summary dismissal of this case. As of today's date, Plaintiff has not addressed his fee status, and the Court has not heard from Plaintiff since entry of the July 2, 2020, order. Accordingly, this action is dismissed without prejudice pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 4l(b). See Fed. Election Comm'n v. Al Salvi for Senate Comm., 205 F.3d 1015, 1018 (7th Cir. 2000) (court has authority both inherently and under Rule 41(b) to dismiss case as sanction for failure to prosecute and noncompliance with court order). Having brought this action, Plaintiff remains obligated to pay the filing fee. See 28 U.S.C. 1915(b)(1). The Court directs the Clerk to enter a final judgment of dismissal. This case is closed.
