Mazda Motors of America, Inc., 469 F.3d 675, 678 (7th Cir. 2006). Plaintiffs' amended complaint relies on diversity jurisdiction as the basis for this Court's subject-matter jurisdiction. Plaintiffs have the burden of establishing subject-matter jurisdiction, and it is not clear that Plaintiffs have properly alleged the citizenship of all of the parties. "An individual's citizenship corresponds to the place where the individual is domiciled." 3BTech, Inc. v. Jie Wang, No. 3:20-CV-637 JD, 2021 WL 1549737, at *3 (N.D. Ind. Apr. 20, 2021). "Domicile is different than residency and corresponds to 'the place one intends to remain.'" Id. (citation omitted). No later than July 9, 2021, Plaintiffs are directed to file a supplemental jurisdictional memorandum properly alleging citizenship of all of the parties. | Filing 8 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Ronald A. Guzman: Pro se plaintiff, who filed suit on September 16, 2020, has yet to serve Defendants. On December 6, 2020, Plaintiff sent an email to the presiding emergency judge asking for additional time to serve Defendants because she is currently residing in a shelter and did not receive the Court's previous orders at the email address she originally provided. In light of Plaintiff's personal situation and the current logistical difficulties posed by COVID-19, Plaintiff's request for additional time to serve Defendants is granted. Plaintiff shall effectuate service on all Defendants no later than February 2, 2021. In the email to the emergency judge, Plaintiff states that all filings should be sent to her at p_horbach@tut.by and 1124 Lake St, # 509, Oak Park, IL, 60301. The Clerk is directed to change Plaintiff's contact information on the electronic docket accordingly and to send this order and all future orders to Plaintiff at both the new email and U.S. Mail address provided. The Court directs Plaintiff to this Court's Eighth Amended General Order 20-0012, which can be found on the Court's website at www.ilnd.uscourts.gov, and states as follows: The Court will accept filings from pro se litigants via email that comply with these requirements: (a) the filing must be in PDF format; (b) the filing must be signed s/[filer's name] or bear a handwritten signature; (c) the email must be sent to Temporary_E-Filing@ilnd.uscourts.gov; (d) the email must state the party's name, address, and phone number; (e) for existing cases, the email's subject line must read: "Pro Se Filing [Insert Your Case Number]." Guzman: In lieu of an initial status hearing, the Court directs the parties to, within 45 days of the filing of the complaint or within 14 days of this order if the 45-day time period has already elapsed, confer to discuss the nature and basis of their claims and defenses and the possibilities for a prompt settlement or resolution of the case. The parties shall also discuss deadlines for Rule 26(a)(1) disclosures and a proposed discovery plan. A written initial status report and proposed discovery plan shall be filed within 7 days of conferring as provided herein. Plaintiff is responsible for initiating such a meeting, and all lead counsel for all parties are required to participate. Failure or refusal to participate in such a meeting or to cooperate in the preparation of the written report may constitute a basis for sanctions.
