ORDER: Petitioner must pay the $5.00 filing fee to proceed with this case. To the extent his pleading that includes a copy of his prison trust account statement #3 can be construed as a request to proceed in forma pauperis ("IFP"), that request is denied. The trust account statement shows that he received an average of $150 each month during 2020 and that, at the end of October 2020, his balance was over $290. Such funds do not qualify him for IFP status. Petitioner must pay the filing fee, which he may do by check or money order made payable to the Clerk, United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Petitioner's failure to pay the filing fee by January 27, 2021, will result in dismissal of this case without prejudice. See N.D. Ill. Local Rule 3.3(f). The Clerk of Court is directed to substitute Justin Hammers, Warden of Western Illinois Correctional Center, as Respondent, and alter the caption of the case to "Thorn v. Hammers."
