He has paid the filing fee and has not asked to proceed in forma pauperis. Plaintiff is advised that he is required to serve the defendant with summons (which has been issued by the Clerk) and a copy of the complaint. Because the defendant is a governmental entity, service is to accomplished as provided in Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 4(i)(2) and 4(i)(1). Plaintiff should consult those Rules for details. In summary plaintiff must send a copy of the summons and complaint to the defendant by registered or certified mail and must also deliver a copy of the summons and complaint to the U.S. Attorney for this District and must send a copy of the summons and complaint to the Attorney General of the United States in Washington DC by registered or certified mail. Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 4(m) plaintiff has 90 days from the date the complaint was filed to accomplish these steps. The case is set for a telephonic status hearing on 7/8/2021 at 8:45 AM. The following call-in number will be used for the hearing: 888-684-8852 conference code 746-1053.
