Filing 9 NOTICE by Rickie Brownson of Change of Address. (Envelope postmarked 9/1/21) (aee, ) |
Filing 7 ORDER: On July 21, 2021, the Court denied Plaintiff's application to proceed in forma pauperis (IFP) and instructed him to pay the $402 filing fee by September 1, 2021. (Dkt. #5 .) The July 21, 2021 order, sent to Plaintiff at his address of record at the Will County Adult Detention Facility, was returned as undeliverable with no forwarding address. #6 Based on a search of the Illinois Department of Corrections' (IDOC) website, it appears Plaintiff may have been transferred to IDOC custody. See IDOC, Inmate Search, https://www2.illinois.gov/idoc/Offender/Pages/InmateSearch.aspx (last visited Aug. 9, 2021). Plaintiff, however, has not notified the Court of any address change. On its own motion, the Court extends the deadline for Plaintiff to pay the filing fee to September 20, 2021. If he intends to proceed with this case, by that same date, Plaintiff must also submit a written notification of his current address. Failure to comply with either directive by that date will result dismissal of this case. The Clerk is directed to (1) update Plaintiff's address to the mailing address for Stateville Correctional Center, where he appears to be currently located: Rickie Brownson, M52083, P.O. Box 112, Joliet IL 60434; and (2) mail this order and another copy of the July 21, 2021 order (Dkt. 5) to the new address. Plaintiff has an ongoing obligation to keep the Court apprised of his contact information and should not expect the Court or Clerk to make efforts to locate him. Therefore, he must promptly notify the Court of any future address changes. Failure to do so will result in dismissal of this lawsuit for failure to prosecute. Signed by the Honorable Sharon Johnson Coleman on 8/10/2021. Mailed notice (aee, ) |
