Filing 9 ORDER: The Court grants Plaintiff's application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #4 and motion for attorney representation #5 . The Court recruits Mildred F. Haggerty, Special Counsel, Inc., 200 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60604, (312) 590-0060, mhaggert.mh@gmail.com to represent Plaintiff. The Court dismisses the Chicago Police as a Defendant because the Chicago Police is a non-suable entity. Cortney v. City of Chicago, 439 F. App'x 557, 558 (7th Cir. 2011). The Court orders the Clerk to add the City of Chicago as a nominal Defendant for the sole purpose of identifying Jane Doe(s). Counsel for Plaintiff should promptly send the City interrogatories eliciting information regarding the identity of the individual(s) who allegedly violated Plaintiff's constitutional rights. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 33. Counsel should submit an amended complaint by 1/31/2022 that clarifies Plaintiff's claims and identifies the individual defendant(s) by name so that they can be served. The Court sets an initial status conference for 3/30/2022 at 9:30 a.m. The parties are directed to review the procedures and requirements for this conference on Judge Ellis' web site and to submit the required Initial Status Report by 3/23/2022.
