Filing 7 MINUTE entry before the Honorable John Z. Lee:Plaintiff has submitted a letter #6 , dated 3/4/21, about his meal trays at the Stateville Correctional Center, which he appears to have written when he was incarcerated at Stateville. The Court will take no action concerning the letter at the current time as it is outside the scope of this lawsuit about a condition of confinement at the Cook County Jail. Plaintiff can choose, if he is able to meet the filing requirements, to file another complaint based on this matter that names the proper defendants. Plaintiff is reminded that if he does not prepay the full $402 filing fee by 12/5/21, the current case will be summarily dismissed. (ca, ) |
Filing 6 LETTER from Robert Matthews dated 3/4/2021. (Exhibits) (Envelope not postmarked) (bg, ) |
Filing 5 ORDER: Plaintiff's application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #3 is denied. If he does not prepay the full $402 filing fee by December 5, 2021, this case will be summarily dismissed. Plaintiff's motion for attorney representation #4 is denied without prejudice, as reaching out to a single attorney and a single law firm is insufficient and, in any event, nothing suggests that he is unable to compete the modest task of arranging for payment of the filing fee, which is all he needs to do at this time. Plaintiff must promptly update his address each time it changes while this case is open. If he fails to do so, this case will be subject to dismissal with no further warning. Signed by the Honorable John Z. Lee on November 5, 2021. Mailed notice (ph, ) |
