Chang: On review of the status report, R. 17, the unopposed extension request of Defendant Linardakis to answer or to respond to the complaint is granted, for now till 03/24/2022. The Court will consider a reasonable extension motion if he is imminently about to retain counsel. Linardakis shall file a Pro Se Appearance Form so that he can receive notices of filings (the form is available on the District Court's website). The Plaintiff has not yet been able to serve Defendant Tsekeris (the 90-day deadline will expire in late 04/2022). The following discovery schedule is set for now, with possible changes needed depending on what answers or motions are filed on 03/24/2022. Rule 26(a)(1) disclosures due 04/25/2022. The first round of written discovery requests must be issued by 05/02/2022. Fact discovery must be completed by 12/02/2022. **No summary judgment motion may be filed before the close of fact discovery without prior authorization of the Court.** Any retained-expert discovery schedule will be set later. With regard to consent to the magistrate judge, when all Defendants are in the case, the parties shall confer again to decide whether they all consent to the jurisdiction of the magistrate judge (including to enter final judgment).
