ORDER: Petitioner Charles D. Lee seeks to bring a 28 U.S.C. 2254 petition challenging his 2010 Cook County murder and armed robbery convictions. His application to proceed in forma pauperis (IFP) #3 is denied. His prison trust fund account statement shows that he has a current balance of $2,836.50. Such funds do not qualify him for IFP status, and he must pay the $5.00 filing fee to proceed with this case. See, e.g., Lucien v. DeTella, 141 F.3d 773, 774 (7th Cir. 1998). He may pay the fee by check or money order made payable to Clerk, United States District Court Northern District of Illinois. Petitioner's failure to comply with this order by September 6, 2022, will result in summary dismissal of this case without prejudice. See N.D. Ill. Local Rule 3.3(f).
