January 13, 2023 Filing 26 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Nancy L. Maldonado: The Court has reviewed the pending motions and Plaintiff's amended complaint #17 . Plaintiff's motion for leave to temporarily proceed under a pseudonym #19 is granted, exceptional circumstances having been shown. The ability to proceed under a pseudonym will expire 7 days after the Court's ruling on Plaintiff's motion for an ex parte temporary restraining order, and Plaintiff shall add its name to the docket at that time. Plaintiff's motion for leave to file certain documents under seal #19 is also granted. Plaintiff's motion for electronic service of process #24 is granted because electronic service of process does not violate any treaty and is consistent with due process because it effectively communicates the pendency of this action to Defendants. See, e.g., Oakley, Inc. v. Partnerships & Unincorporated Associations Identified in Schedule "A," No. 20-CV-05049, 2021 WL 2894166, at *5 (N.D. Ill. July 9, 2021) (finding electronic service proper in similar circumstances). However, before it can rule on Plaintiff's motion for a temporary restraining order #21 , the Court orders Plaintiff to file a brief addressing the issue of joinder of all Defendants by 2/3/2023. Finally, Plaintiff's previous motion for leave to file certain documents under seal and temporarily proceed under a pseudonym #10 is denied as moot. (ca, )
