Filing 5 ENTERED JUDGMENT. Mailed notice(lk, ) |
Filing 4 ORDER: The Court grants Plaintiff's application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #3 and orders the trust fund officer at Plaintiff's place of confinement to immediately deduct $29.40 from Plaintiff's account for payment to the Clerk as an initial partial payment of the filing fee and to continue making monthly deductions in accordance with this order. Payment of the filing fee for this case is in addition to any filing fees Plaintiff owes for any other federal cases and appeals. The trust fund officer is reminded to aggregate (in other words, add together) all of Plaintiff's outstanding filing fee deductions. For the reasons detailed in the "Statement" section of this order, the Court dismisses Plaintiff's complaint #1 because it fails to state a claim and is legally frivolous. This disposition counts as a "strike" under 28 U.S.C. 1915(g). Final judgment shall enter. The Clerk is directed to send a copy of this order to Plaintiff, the trust fund officer at the Will County Adult Detention Facility, and the Court's Fiscal Department. This case is closed. Signed by the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall on 7/10/2023. Mailed notice (rp, ) |
