Date Filed Document Text
September 5, 2023 Opinion or Order Filing 6 ORDER: Petitioner Leon Hister's motion for a status hearing #5 is denied. Hister apparently mailed the motion before receiving this Court's August 16, 2023, order. As stated in that order, his 28 U.S.C. 2241 case cannot proceed until he sufficiently states a claim that this Court can address in a federal habeas corpus proceeding while his state criminal cases are still pending. His amended 2241 petition remains due on September 30, 2023. Because that date falls on Saturday, the amended petition actually is due on October 2, 2023. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(a)(3)(A). Signed by the Honorable Sharon Johnson Coleman on 9/5/2023. Mailed notice.(ym)
