Filing 10 NOTICE of Voluntary Dismissal by Ford Motor Company With Prejudice (Filed on Behalf of Nicole Liggins) (Nemechek, Kathleen) |
Filing 9 ENTERED JUDGMENT on 10/16/2023. Mailed notice. (jlj, ) |
Filing 8 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Lindsay C. Jenkins: Plaintiff did not pay the $150 fee by the October 13, 2023 deadline. This case is dismissed without prejudice. The status hearing set for October 17, 2023 #6 is stricken. Civil case terminated. Mailed notice. (jlj, ) |
Filing 7 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Lindsay C. Jenkins: Plaintiff's motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #2 is granted in part and denied in part. Based on Plaintiff's submission in her affidavit, the Court concludes that she can afford to pay a portion of the filing fee, and the rest of the fee may be waived. Plaintiff's filing establishes that she receives SSI and is unemployed, but the filing also establishes that her spouse, with whom she lives, earns $4,000 per month. The complaint also suggests that Plaintiff was employed with Ford for a lengthy period. Plaintiff must pay $150 as a filing fee on or before October 13, 2023. Failure to pay the $150 fee by October 13, 2023, means that the Court will summarily dismiss this case without prejudice. No summons shall issue until the fee is resolved. Mailed notice. (jlj, ) |

The report should comply with the requirements set forth in the Initial Status Report standing order, which can be found at Judge Jenkins's web page @ http://www.ilnd.uscourts.gov. The parties must follow all the standing orders for Judge Jenkins and all Local Rules, which can be found at the same web page. At the Initial Status hearing, the parties are to report on the following: (1) Possibility of settlement in the case; (2) if no possibility of settlement exists, the nature and length of discovery necessary (with specific dates) to get the case ready for trial; and (3) whether the parties jointly consent to proceed before the Magistrate Judge.
