| Filing 9 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Charles P. Kocoras: Plaintiff's motion for service by U.S. Marshal's Office #8 is denied without prejudice. Plaintiff provides the Court with no basis on which to order such service and no reason as to why Plaintiff is unable to effectuate service. Plaintiff's one-sentence motion states: "if my application to proceed without prepaying fees or costs is granted[,] I request service of the Summons and complaint by a U.S. Marshal." But Plaintiff did not file an application to proceed without paying fees or costs, and indeed Plaintiff already paid the filing fee 6 . If Plaintiff has a legitimate reason as to why he cannot effectuate service on Defendants himself, he may file a renewed motion explaining such reasoning by 8/24/23.
