ORDER: On June 30, 2023, plaintiffs filed this action in the Circuit Court of Cook County, seeking compensatory damages under several tort theories. (Dkt. 4-1.) On September 15, 2023, defendant timely removed the case to this court.1 (Dkt. 4 2, 4.) Defendant asserts that this court has subject-matter jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. 1332. (Id. 6.) Arguing that Section 1332's amount-in-controversy requirement is not met, plaintiffs now move to remand the case to state court. (Dkt. 7 1.) For the reasons discussed below, the motion to remand is granted, and the clerk is directed to remand this case to the Circuit Court of Cook County forthwith. Signed by the Honorable Joan H.
